A special day...

3 years ago to the day 

the love of my life 

got down on one knee 

and asked me to marry him 

and 4 years from yesterday 

we had our first date 

Boy has time flown 

I am so lucky to have such an Amazing husband! 

 Nathan took me to the Blue Bayou for lunch

Overcoming the hump

Last week I recieved a nice little letter from my dad

First, how cute is it that my dad sent me a hand written note 

second, I love my dad! 

The letter contained an excerpt from Starship Troopers

it was about overcoming you "hump"

my hump is the 9 more weeks of school ahead of me 

and then it is peace out San Marcos! 

This letter comes at the perfect time because next week I have 

3 midterms and 2 papers due

yuck! 

Thanks Dad for your encouragement, love and support!

On Monday I played hookey

and went to

Disneyland!

We bought season passes!

It was so much fun

we hadn't been to Disneyland since before we got married

It reminded me of when we were dating

Our first date was at Disneyland

On the day that Nathan proposed we had lunch at Disneyland

Lets just say Disneyland holds some special memories for me

This trip was just as special

It was our nieces Brooklyn and Lily's first visit

It was so much fun watching Brooklyn meet the Princesses and ride the various rides

The best part of the day was when she met Bell...

she gasped when she saw her

I just got home from work and found this lovely picture on my desktop.

Yes that is exactly what you think it is. I think Chelsea knows more about me now than I know about myself.

Better late than never...

I never blogged about Valentines Day

I have been super busy studying 

I have had an exam once a week for the past 3 weeks!

Thank goodness spring break is coming!

Nathan made me le sexy dinner (that is what husband called it) on the 13th 

We had a rack of lamb and rosemary potatoes 

Everything was delish

We even had Sparkling white grape juice (slushy style)

 On Valentines Day Nathan didn't get home till 9

and I was at school all day 

so we kept it simple 

I made breaded salmon in a honey mustard sauce 

with steamed carrots and chocolate covered strawberries 

I was surprised by how much I liked it

I hardly ever like what I cook

 On the 12th our good friends greg and cori came to visit

We got both of these baskets of bread for free! 

After lunch we went to the beach and slipped into a food coma 

On another note

I only have 11 weeks left of school!
