the two words every new parent longs to hear

let it be known to the world that Jack Archer has said 'mama' & 'dada.' Both were spoken on the same day. We think it's the cutest. Although, Jack has no idea what those words mean, Nathan and I are overjoyed to hear them. It really is more of jack making different sounds with his mouth.

I realize I never posted about Jacks 5 month birthday. Well the little stud turned 6 months last week and I am in disbelief that I have a 6 month old. Where has the time gone? You hear parents saying that it goes by quick. But man, I feel like time is flying. Before I know it, we will be in the middle of the holiday season and then celebrating a first birthday. I love being this boys mama and wouldn't change it.

Happy Fathers Day

Happy Father's Day to my wonderful husband and daddy to Jack! And to my awesome dad, father-in-law, and father figures in my life. 

A Year Ago Yesterday

One year ago yesterday,  (June 11th), I watched two pink lines appear on a stick, and my life was changed forever. It is weird to think that those two lines have resulted in Jack. I love this little boy SO much! And I feel privilege to be called his mother. It really is a miracle that something so precious came from nothing. I still can't believe that I made him.

Sweet Tooth

Lately I have had a huge sweet tooth. Ever since jack was born I have been craving sugar. Ice cream, cookies, chocolate, I have had a piece a toast with Nutella on if every day this week. Sometimes twice a day. It's so weird because before I was pregnant and while I was pregnant, I wasn't a big water and didn't crave anything. But now, gimme a chocolate shake! It must be nursing. After all I am creating food for another human. Which I think is CRAZY! It's so weird to think that jack gets all if his nutrients from me. I am glad that I have been able to breastfeed and especially glad that I was able to work through my struggles and get it down. Speaking of sugar, I think I am gonna go get myself a caramel roll :)
