A Nice Surprise

So yesterday Chelsea surprised me with a meal from my favorite fast food joint, Chipotle. She ordered it exactly how I like it, steak salad with rice, pinto beans, cheese, salsa, and guacamole. We met up in our school library and shared a nice meal and a nice long kiss. Boy did I pick the best girl ever. The two loves of my life in one day.

Our Life As of Now

So Chelsea and I decided that we would start this blog even though we are not married yet, soon enough. We have been dating for 14 months now and I have to tell you that my expectations are exceeded every time that I see her. I can't believe how great everything has turned out and we are super excited for this December to finally come. We got engaged about 2 months ago on our 12 month anniversary date. The whole day was amazing and feels like a dream. I still can't believe I got an actual live girl to say yes to me. We even made to the front page of my family newsletter.

Actually, we are super excited for June 13th to come because that means no more school.......for Nathan foreverrrrrr...................until September when he starts grad school, poop. I don't hate school, I just hate the homework portion of it and boy is there a lot of it these last couple weeks of my undergraduate career. I have been working on a senior project for the last year and it is finally going to be done next week. We designed and analyzed a 1000 foot high tower that is going to be specifically for base jumpers and be located somewhere in Las Vegas. Here are some pictures of our model.

And in three weeks I will be graduating with my bachelors degree in civil engineering and hopefully less bridges will fall down after I'm through with them. Anyway, for those of you that are in town, I will be having a get together on June 15th from 4-6pm at the casa of my parents so feel free to stop by and give me things. Also, I will be starting a new job in two weeks at a company called Spire Structural Engineering. I will basically be doing the same things I was doing at Smithson Engineering except these projects are more commercial than residential and more steel and concrete than wood. I am excited to start something new and I guess the big raise too. It is way out in Laguna Hills so I guess will have to stop by Chelsea's house on the way home every night for dinner? Sound good?

So this summer Chelsea and I have to plan the whole wedding because she is then taking off to Italy for 3 MONTHS!! Insane, I know. What am I going to do with myself while she is gone? But I told her she couldn't go unless she was engaged to me first and apparently she agreed with me; you can never trust those italiano guys. So check back at our blog for wedding plans and life updates. Oh one last thing, my brother Jared and Lynette had their baby, little Brooklyn. I guess that makes me an uncle. I will be an uncle three more times when Chelsea and I get married too. What an exciting year.

The Blog...

Ok, this is my solution for not wanting to do hw. I have been wanting to make a blog for a while and i figure this would be a great way to let people in on our wedding plans, and for me to share my study abroad experience with every one. Also, Nathan will be able to keep everyone updated on whats happening in San Diego in the fall. Well, I really should get back to my hw, i will hopefully post more during the summer ( I probably wont be doing much on here until school gets out)

Buona notte (good night)
I need to start practicing my Italian! : )
