We go out of our apartment to watch some sports

A few weeks ago Husband and I meet up with David and Katrina for The Angels vs. The Yankees game at Angels stadium. I am sad to admit I don't know how to play baseball....well i know you hit the ball and run around the bases while the other team ties to get you out. So I was able to ask husband all my baseball questions which made the game more interesting. It was also great hanging out with friends. I just wish that traffic was better.

Last night Nathan and I went to the Chelsea Vs Inter Milan at the Rose Bowl. The game was great! But not the traffic. It took us 1 hour to drive 1 mile!!!! Soccer fans are intense! Maybe not as crazy as the game I saw while in Siena when a fan ripped off his chair and threw it at the field. It was still a great game. I do have to say it was fun hearing my name be chanted throughout the stadium :) We did the wave a few times around the stadium and Chelsea won 2-0!

....We are tired of traffic

Suma Summer Time!!

I am still slowly looking through our gazillion wedding pictures
Today was my day off from work so I decided to go swimming at our pool. I am proud to say that I can still swim laps even if I am out of practice from my water polo days during my freshman year of HS.
Some notes to remember:
  • Reapply sunscreen after you swim and before you lay out. (maybe i am a little pink)
  • French families at the pool are so cute =)
  • Days off work spent by the pool are the best...well it would be better if Husband was home too
P.S I am so excited for Harry Potter next week!!!

MIA

So I have been slacking on posting on the blog. Luckily I have such an amazing husband that does it for me. Husband and I were lucky to be able to go camping with both our families. In May we backpacked with Nathans family in the High Sierras. Needless to say I was super nervous to be hiking with all my gear on my back. However I survived the trip so all is well. I dont have that many pictures of our backpacking trip.

The weekend after my birthday we went river rafting on the Colorado with my family. I was nervous for this trip as well because the last time I went river rafting my dad flipped the boat! (Skull Rapid) We were doing the same river run (Westwater) and my Dad insisted that I be in his boat again. Well we broke the curse and no one flipped. Of course something bad had to happen besides it raining all night and it was me slipping on a rock when trying to tie the boat up and falling backwards into the water and slicing my toe in the process. =( But toe is all better now. After the river run, we went to Arches and Bryce and then home with a stop at Cafe Rio.
